The Misc tab contains a variety of miscellaneous and advanced settings. These options primarily control the slider's conditional display rules, ordering within theme hooks, and other performance-related tweaks.
Note: Some settings in this section are considered "Advanced" and are hidden by default to keep the interface clean for most users. You can reveal these options at any time by enabling the Show Advanced Settings toggle in the top-right corner of the editor. Throughout this documentation, these advanced parameters are marked with a flag icon .

Conditional Display
These settings allow you to control exactly where and to whom the slider appears when it is published via a theme hook.
- Shop
- In a multi-store environment, select the specific shop where this slider should be displayed. Leave as "All" to display it on all shops.
- Language
- Select the language for which this slider should be displayed. This is essential for managing multi-language sites where you have different sliders for each language.
- Show slider on these Categories & Pages
- Select the specific categories or pages where the slider should appear. Use Ctrl-click (or Cmd-click on Mac) to select multiple items. This gives you fine-grained control over the slider's placement.
- Groups
- Restrict the slider's visibility to specific customer groups, such as "Visitor," "Guest," or "Customer." For example, you can create a promotion slider that is only visible to logged-in customers.
Ordering
- Ordering
- If you have multiple sliders assigned to the same theme hook, this number controls their display order. A lower number will cause the slider to appear before sliders with a higher number.
Advanced Options
- Enhanced lazy load
- Enable a more aggressive lazy loading behavior for images to improve initial page load speed. This can help with search engine optimization but may affect compatibility with some themes.
- Allow restarting slides on resize
- When enabled, the slider will automatically detect browser size or device orientation changes and restart itself to preserve its appearance. This is useful for complex animations that might not adapt well on the fly.
- Prefer Blend Mode
- Enable this option to avoid potential rendering issues with slide transitions that use CSS blend modes. Note that due to technical limitations, enabling this will also clip your slide transitions.
- Slider preview image
- Set a custom thumbnail image for this slider. This image will be used to represent the slider in the grid view of the main Creative Slider dashboard. If no image is set, the background of the first slide will be used as the default thumbnail.
