Installation instructions

There are two methods available for installing the module: via the PrestaShop back office or through manual installation. If the first method does not work, you can proceed with the manual installation method described below. Ensure that you follow the appropriate installation method based on your situation. After successful installation, you can proceed to create and manage your sliders.

Installing via Back Office:

  1. Go to the Modules > Module Manager tab in your PrestaShop Back Office.
  2. Click on Upload a module.
  3. Install Creative Slider by browsing your computer for the module file or by dragging and dropping the module ZIP file into the upload area.

  1. If the installation is successful, you will see a message confirming the installation.
  2. Click on the Configure button to access the module dashboard and start creating your first slider.

Manual Installation:

If the above method does not work, you can install the module manually. This method is slightly more advanced but ensures a reliable setup in all server environments.

Extract the contents of the module archive
The module is provided in ZIP format (as all other modules on PrestaShop). Extract the folder containing the module’s files and directories to your computer.
Use FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to transfer the module to your hosting server
You have two options:
  1. If your web host provides a web-based file manager, use it to upload the extracted layerslider folder into the /modules directory of your shop.
  2. If your web host provides FTP access credentials, use an FTP client software to transfer the layerslider folder to the /modules directory.
(Some hosting providers offer both solutions. You can choose whichever option suits you best.)
Install and configure the module
Once the module has been uploaded to your server, open your PrestaShop Back Office. Go to the Modules > Module Manager tab, find Creative Slider in the list, and click on the Install button. If the installation is successful, a confirmation message will appear. Then click on Configure to open the module and start adding sliders.

Activating your license

In order to import the pre-made sample sliders, it is necessary to activate your license. Follow the steps below to complete the activation process:

  1. Go to the Creative Slider > Sliders > License tab in your PrestaShop Back Office.
  2. Click on the Activate button.

  1. You will be redirected to our official license activation page, where you can activate your license by providing your Order Date and Order ID.

Note: If you have renewed or resubscribed to your license, make sure to reactivate it using the original order date and order ID. Enter the date in the correct format to ensure successful license verification.
  1. Choose your license type. (By default, your license includes both Production and Development types, allowing you to use the module in both environments simultaneously. There is no functional difference between the two; they simply help identify the environment where the license is used.)
  2. Click on Activate.
  3. You will be redirected back to your PrestaShop Back Office, where a confirmation message will appear, indicating that your license has been successfully activated.

Once your license is activated, you can import pre-made sample sliders and start building engaging, animated slideshows with Creative Slider.
