The Default Options tab allows you to set slider-wide default values for common slide and layer properties. This is a powerful feature for ensuring consistency and speeding up your workflow, as it allows you to control certain settings from one central place.

Note: Some settings in this section are considered "Advanced" and are hidden by default to keep the interface clean for most users. You can reveal these options at any time by enabling the Show Advanced Settings toggle in the top-right corner of the editor. Throughout this documentation, these advanced parameters are marked with a flag icon .

Understanding Inheritance

Many options on individual slides and layers can be set to "inherit" their value. This means that instead of having a specific value, they will automatically use the default value you configure here. For example, instead of setting the background size for every slide, you can set a global default in this tab and leave the individual slide settings on "inherit."

Slide Background Defaults

These settings will be used by default for the background image of every slide, unless you explicitly override them in the individual Slide Options.

Background size
Set the default scaling for all slide background images (e.g., 'Cover', 'Contain', 'Auto', or 'Stretch').
Background position
Set the default alignment for all slide background images (e.g., 'center center', 'left top').

Parallax Defaults

These settings establish the baseline behavior for the parallax effect across all slides.

Parallax sensitivity
Set the multiplier for the parallax effect. A higher number will make layers more responsive to mouse movement or device tilting.
Parallax center layers
Choose the reference point where parallax layers will be perfectly aligned to their original position. You can center them relative to the 'center of the viewport' or the 'top of the viewport'.
Parallax center degree
Provide a comfortable "holding" position (in degrees) for mobile devices, which acts as the center point for the parallax effect when tilting.
Reverse scroll direction
When enabled, parallax layers will move in the opposite direction of the page scroll.

Misc

Forced animation duration
Set a global animation speed (in milliseconds) that forces remaining layers to animate out of the scene before a slide transition occurs.
