The Category Page template displays a collection of products within a specific category, helping customers browse and find items more efficiently. It typically includes product miniatures, filtering and sorting options, pagination, and category descriptions. With Creative Elements, you can customize the category page layout to enhance navigation, improve user experience, and maintain a cohesive store design.

When designing a Category page template using Creative Elements, you have a variety of elements at your disposal. Consider incorporating the following Category widgets to build the Category page:

Breadcrumb: Displays the navigation path to help users track their location within the category page.
Category Name: Presents the name or title of the category showcased on the page.
Subcategory Grid: Displays a grid of subcategories within a category.
Subcategory List: Displays a list of subcategories within a category.
Category Tree: Shows the hierarchical structure of categories for easier navigation.
Category Image: Show the main image of the category page.
Filters: Provides options for users to refine their search results based on specific criteria.
Active Filters: Displays the currently applied filters, aiding users in managing their search selections.
Category Description: Offers detailed descriptions or summaries of the category page.
Category Description: Displays the additional description section of the category page.

Creating a new Category page template in Theme Builder

From your PrestaShop admin, navigate to Creative Elements > Theme Builder.
Click on the Add new button in the top right corner.
Provide a title for easy identification (this will only be visible to you).
Select the Category page template type from the dropdown list.
In the Status option, you can choose to enable or disable the template. Enabling it allows the content to be displayed in the Theme Settings. Disabling it prevents the template from being set on the frontend. However, you can use the Preview feature in the Live Editor to review it and you can also activate it later in the Templates List.
Remember to Save your changes to ensure they are applied.

Creating a new Category page template

Now you can edit your template by clicking on Edit with Creative Elements.
After completing the editing process, make sure to set the template in the Theme Settings to ensure its display on the frontend of your website.
