Theme Builder

Creative Elements' Theme Builder gives you full design control over the key parts of your PrestaShop store. It allows you to visually create and customize headers, footers, product layouts, listing pages, customer pages, and other core pages using the Live Editor.

Instead of manually editing your theme's template files, you can create reusable templates, design them visually, and choose which templates should be used across your store.

The Core Workflow

Working with the Theme Builder follows a simple three-step process:

  1. Create a Template: In the Templates List, create a new template and choose its type, such as Header, Product Page, or Listing Page.
  2. Design in the Editor: Build and customize the template visually using the drag-and-drop Live Editor and the widgets available for that template type.
  3. Assign the Template: In the Theme Settings, select where your template should be used on your store.
Tip: You can create multiple templates of the same type and switch between them at any time from the Theme Settings.

The Templates List

The Templates List is the central place for managing your Theme Builder templates. From here, you can create new templates, edit existing ones in the Live Editor, enable or disable them, and delete templates you no longer need.

Each template has a specific type that determines where it can be used and which dedicated widgets and settings are available while editing it.

Tip: If you have many templates, use the filtering options at the top of the list to quickly find templates by type.

The Theme Settings

Creating and designing a template does not automatically make it active on your store. The Theme Settings determine which templates are currently used for the different areas of your shop.

The available settings are organized into the following sections:

  • Site: Header, Footer, and Theme Style
  • Page: Home, Contact, 404, Login, Password, Registration, Brands, and Suppliers
  • Product: Product Page, Quick View, and Product Miniature
  • Listing: Category, Search, Brand, Supplier, Prices Drop, New Products, Best Sellers, and No Results
  • CMS: CMS Category and CMS page management

For each supported area, select the template you want Creative Elements to use and save the Theme Settings.

Note: Some options, such as Brands, Suppliers, or Best Sellers, are only available when the corresponding feature is enabled in PrestaShop.

Note: Selecting Default means that Creative Elements will not replace that area with a Theme Builder template, allowing your PrestaShop theme to handle it instead.

Theme Builder templates are organized into categories according to the part of your PrestaShop store they control. Each template type provides the relevant widgets and settings for building that specific area of your shop.
