The Features settings let you control stable features and ongoing experiments in Creative Elements, as well as additional functionality that can be enabled or disabled according to your site's needs.
Settings - Features
Stable Features
Stable features are ready for regular use and are enabled by default. You can disable them when compatibility with existing content or custom code requires it.
- Optimized DOM Output Performance
- Reduces unnecessary HTML markup generated by Creative Elements to produce a cleaner DOM. Because this feature changes some of the generated markup, custom CSS or code that relies on the previous HTML structure may need to be adjusted. Disable the feature if existing custom code depends on the previous markup.
- Improved Asset Loading Performance
- Reduces the amount of code loaded on the page by loading parts of the Creative Elements infrastructure dynamically, only when they are needed.
- Flexbox Container Feature
- Enable the Flexbox Container layout system for creating flexible and responsive page structures. Containers provide an alternative to the legacy Section, Inner Section, and Column structure while existing legacy layouts remain editable.
Warning: Deactivating Flexbox Container permanently deletes content created with Containers and removes access to Container-based features such as nested widgets.
Ongoing Experiments
Ongoing experiments provide early access to features that are still under development. Their functionality may change, evolve, or be removed in future versions.
- Grid Container Feature
- Add the Grid layout option to Containers, allowing elements to be arranged using a customizable CSS Grid structure. This feature requires Flexbox Container to be active.
- Nested Elements Feature
- Enable nested widgets that can contain other elements inside their structure, including Nested Accordion and Nested Tabs. Existing legacy widgets are not automatically converted or modified. This feature requires Flexbox Container to be active.
Additional Features
- Remove Hidden Elements
- Remove the HTML markup of elements hidden through the Advanced → Visibility settings from the page DOM instead of hiding them only visually. This option is available only when Element Cache is disabled in Advanced Settings.
- Extended Visibility Section
- Enable additional visibility controls for elements. When enabled, supported elements can be scheduled to appear during a specified period or displayed only to selected customer groups.
- Disable Google Fonts
- Prevent Creative Elements from loading files from fonts.googleapis.com. Enable this option when Google Fonts should not be loaded remotely by Creative Elements.
