Installation & Activation

Installation Instructions

There are two methods available for installing the module: via the PrestaShop Back Office or through manual installation. If the standard upload method does not work due to server restrictions, please proceed with the manual installation described below. Once installed, you can begin creating and managing your popups immediately.

Installing via Back Office

1. Navigate to the Modules > Module Manager tab in your PrestaShop Back Office.
2. Click the Upload a module button at the top of the page.
3. Install Creative Popup by browsing your computer for the module ZIP file or by dragging and dropping the file into the upload area.

4. Upon successful installation, a confirmation message will appear.
5. Click the Configure button to access the module dashboard and start creating your first popup.

Manual Installation

If the Back Office upload fails, you can install the module manually. This method ensures a reliable setup across all server environments.

Extract the module archive

The module is provided in a standard ZIP format. Extract the contents of the ZIP file to a folder on your local computer.

Transfer the module via FTP

Upload the extracted creativepopup folder to the /modules directory on your hosting server. You can do this in two ways:

1. File Manager: Use the web-based file manager provided by your hosting control panel.
2. FTP Client: Use software like FileZilla to transfer the creativepopup folder using your FTP credentials.

Finalize Installation

Once the files are uploaded, return to your PrestaShop Back Office. Go to Modules > Module Manager, locate Creative Popup in the list, and click Install. After the confirmation appears, click Configure to begin.

Activating Your License

To access the library of pre-made sample popups and receive automatic updates, you must activate your license. Follow these steps:

1. Go to the Creative Popup > Popups > License tab in your PrestaShop Back Office.
2. Click the Activate button.

3. You will be redirected to our secure activation page. Enter your Order ID and Order Date to proceed.

4. Select your License Type. (By default, your license supports both Production and Development environments simultaneously. This selection simply helps you manage your active installations.)
5. Click Activate.
6. You will be redirected back to your Back Office with a confirmation that your license is now active.

With your license activated, you can now import high-converting sample popups and take full advantage of Creative Popup’s advanced templates.
